Conquered

I'm a little late with this update, but I wanted to document a success from this past weekend. It was in the mid-50's and sunny in Seattle last Saturday, so we headed east on the bikes with some friends. Apparently it was just the right time to overcome it, and we were out there anyway, so we revisited "THAT" road. It was on that road that THIS happened.

Jarrod was definitely ready to put it behind him, but I can still hear that crash and I can still feel the adrenaline and I wasn't sure I was up for it. But we went back there again, with Josh and his girl behind me and Jarrod behind them. It was easier than I thought it would be to turn onto that road, ride it slowly all the way through. It was mind over matter, and I had the option to make it a big deal or not. I chose not, until we were finished, and could celebrate everybody making it through that hairpin just fine. And we all did, and it's officially behind us now.
